Conflict in Batumi Hotel Leads to Violence
A violent confrontation occurred at the Sheraton Hotel in Batumi, involving two well-known politicians. Giorgi Gakharia, leader of “For Georgia,” was attacked and taken to the hospital with a broken nose and concussion.
The incident happened last night at the hotel. Gakharia has since been discharged from the hospital. An investigation into the conflict is now underway.
Another altercation also took place at the same hotel involving Zviad Koridze, an NGO representative. He claims he was confronted by Dimitri Samkharadze, a representative of “Georgian Dream,” and his associates.
Lado Bozhadze, an MP from the “Georgian Dream” party, has spoken out against violence in politics. He stated that investigations into both incidents have been launched and is awaiting the results.
