As of October 1, 2024, the General Staff of Ukraine has reported the latest updates on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. This marks the 951st day of the Russian invasion and the 3,864th day of Russia’s war against Ukraine. In the past 24 hours, there have been a total of 189 combat clashes recorded. The enemy has launched four missile strikes and 74 airstrikes, dropping 128 anti-aircraft missiles and firing 4,694 rounds. These attacks have targeted various Ukrainian units and populated areas, including Studenok, Kucherivka, Budivelne, Vyshenki, Yastrubshchyna, Bilopylla, Serebryansk forestry, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka, Berestok, Myrnograd, Shevchenko, Kalinove, Bilytske, Yablunivka, Rozlyv, Novodonetske, Tamarivka, Novodarivka, Bogoyavlenka, Mala Tokmachka, Pyatikhatki, Veselyanka, Antonivka, Kardashinka, and Lviv.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have responded by hitting one air defense vehicle, a gun in a firing position, a personnel concentration area, a radar station, and one other important object of the Russian invaders. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to storm the areas of Burguvatka, Staritsa, Tykh, and Vovchansk settlements 16 times, but were unsuccessful. In the Kupyansk direction, there were 24 attacks by the occupiers, which were repelled by Ukrainian defenders near Sinkivka, Novoosynovo, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Kruglyakivka, and Vyshnevo.
The Lyman direction saw 24 attacks from the enemy, with attempts to move forward towards Grekivka, Makiivka, Nevsky, Novosadovo, Dibrova, Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and Serebryansk Forestry. In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three assaults near Verkhnokamyanskyi and Bilogorivka. The enemy’s aviation launched over 60 unguided aerial missiles in Serebryan Forestry. In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked three times near Chasiv Yar, but were stopped by Ukrainian forces. In the Toretsk direction, there were 18 attacks near Toretsk, Zalizny, Nelipivka, and Shcherbinivka, resulting in enemy losses and retreat.
The most intense fighting remains in the Pokrovsky direction, where Ukrainian defenders stopped 43 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor towards the settlements of Novotoretske, Novogrodivka, Lysivka, Myrolyubivka, Vozdvizhenka, Sukha Balka, Mykolaivka, Selidove, and Mykhailivka. The highest concentration of enemy attacks was near Selidovoy, where the Defense Forces repelled more than 20 attacks. In the Kurakhiv direction, there were 31 attacks on positions near Georgiivka, Kostyantynivka, and Ku. The situation remains tense in this area.
