As of October 6, 2024, the General Staff of Ukraine has reported the latest updates on the ongoing conflict with Russia. It has been 956 days since the large-scale invasion by Russia and 3,869 days since the start of their war against Ukraine. As of 8:00 a.m., there have been a total of 169 combat clashes recorded in the past day.
Detailed information shows that the enemy carried out 82 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, dropping 130 air defense systems. They also used 1,410 kamikaze drones and fired 5,130 attacks, including 144 from multiple rocket launchers. The aggressor targeted areas such as Volfine, Obody, Pavlivka, Velyka Pisarivka, Myropillia, Visoka Yaruga, Berestov, Petropavlivka, Zeleny Hay, Pershotravneve, Horohuvatka, Lower Solone, Shiykivka, Kramatorsk, Ivanivske, Diliivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Grodivka, Myrnograd, Selidove, Yablunivka, Panteleimonivka, Bogoyavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Temyrivka, and Lviv.
The Defense Forces responded by hitting four areas of enemy concentration, two artillery positions, and three warehouses. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to storm near Liptsi, Vovchansk, and Staritsa six times. In the Kupyansk direction, there were 22 attacks by the occupiers, but the defense forces successfully repelled them near Lozova, Novoosynovo, Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pischany, Hlushkivka, and Kruglyakivka. The enemy also used aviation in this direction.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked 10 times and tried to break through the defense near Novosadovo, Makiivka, Grekivka, and Torsky. In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 assaults near Bilogorivka, Verkhnokamyansky, and Novosadovo. In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked 10 times near Stupochki, Chasovoy Yar, Kalynyvka, and Hryhorivka. In the direction of Toretsk, there were 15 attacks near Dachny and Toretsk. In the Pokrovsky direction, the defense forces stopped 30 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor towards Novotoretske, Selidove, Krutiy Yar, Lysivka, and Promin. The heaviest concentration of enemy attacks was near Selidove and Krutiy Yar.
In the Kurakhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled 26 attacks, with the enemy most actively trying to advance in the areas of Kostyantynivka and Tsukuryne. They also attacked in the direction of Novoselidivka, Izmailivka, Gostroy, Maksimilianivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka. In the Vremivsk direction, the enemy launched 18 attacks near Vremivka and Novoselidivka.
The situation remains tense as the Defense Forces continue to defend against the ongoing aggression from the Russian side.
