**Latvia Transfers Drones to Ukraine**
Latvia is sending over 1,000 combat drones to Ukraine. The country’s Defense Minister, Andris Spruds, announced this on social media on December 28.
The drones were produced in Latvia and will be given to Ukraine through a coalition of countries that make drones. This group includes the UK and Latvia.
**Ukraine’s Military Support**
Latvia is also giving money to Ukraine to support its military. The country has promised to give over $20 million in 2025.
Latvia is one of Ukraine’s biggest supporters. It has promised to give a certain amount of money each year, which is equal to 0.25% of its own GDP.
**Ukraine Produces Its Own Drones**
Ukraine is also working on producing its own drones. The country wants to make at least 1 million drones in 2024.
Most of the drones used by Ukraine’s military are made in Ukraine. This year, Ukrainian-made drones accounted for over 96% of all drones used by the military.

Russia has increased its attacks on Ukraine using aerial forces. In one week, Russia launched hundreds of guided bombs, attack drones, and missiles at Ukraine.
