**Parliament Members Sue Over Election Rules**
Thirty-four members of the Parliament of Georgia have filed a lawsuit with the country‘s Constitutional Court. They claim that the election rules are unfair and violate the rights of hundreds of thousands of citizens.
The leaders of the “Unity National Movement” party, including Levan Bezhashvili, say that the court should consider their complaint about the whole election process. If the court doesn’t accept this lawsuit, it will be seen as another unconstitutional decision.
**No More Deputy Registration**
If the Constitutional Court agrees to hear the case, it will likely put a hold on the registration of all 150 deputy candidates. This means that none of them can run in the upcoming elections until the court makes its decision.
**The Importance of the Case**
Levan Bezhashvili says that this lawsuit is crucial for the country’s democracy. If the Constitutional Court doesn’t accept it, it will show that the court isn’t really a protector of the constitution.
