**Georgian People Must Choose Parliament**
Levan Bezhashvili, a leader of the “Unity National Movement”, says that the Georgian parliament needs legitimacy. He believes this legitimacy comes from the people, who should choose their government freely and secretly.
Bezhashvili thinks that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze‘s statement about not needing opposition in parliament is a sign of nervousness. If a single party makes up all of parliament, it will soon be over.
**Free Elections Matter**
According to Bezhashvili, the recent election was not free or secret. He says many voters were bribed or pressured into voting for certain parties. The result was that a voter’s decision was often made with a marker. This means that the current parliament is not legitimate and no party will take part in it.
**What Kobakhidze Says**
Prime Minister Kobakhidze disagrees. He says that what matters most is the people’s support, which his party received when 1 million 120 thousand people voted for them. He thinks that if a parliament needed opposition to be legitimate, democracy would not work.
