**No Georgian Government Representatives at Trump Inauguration**
The new US administration has not invited any member of the Georgian government to Donald Trump’s inauguration. This is according to Levan Bezhashvili, a leader of the United National Movement.
Bezhashvili said this highlights that the US does not see Georgia as a strong partner worthy of invitation or attention. He emphasized that it was good to see opposition representatives trying to attend such events and receiving invitations.
**Alignment with Trump’s Policies**
When asked if there is alignment between Georgian Dream’s policies and Trump’s administration, Bezhashvili pointed out statements made about sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of Georgian Dream. He said that the US rejects dictators and regimes like Ivanishvili is seen alongside.
Bezhashvilli stated that Ivanishvili must make decisions to call for elections and entrust Georgia’s future to its people.
**Dismisses “Deep State” Discussions**
Bezhashvili dismissed discussions about the so-called “Deep State” as unjustified. He said governments should focus on real politics, not conspiracy theories. He also accused Georgian Dream of acting against the interests of Georgians and promoting Russian interests in the country.
