Levan Davitashvili is the First Vice Premier and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. He highlighted Georgia’s significant economic growth and low rate of inflation as the country’s greatest achievement. He said that few nations could boast such positive results.
Davitashvili, in a media interview, highlighted the recent steady economic progress of Georgia, noting that macroeconomic indicators such as foreign debt, the budget deficit, inflation and economic growth are strong and stable.
“We have a significant economic growth and low inflation at the same time.” This is the greatest achievement and only a few countries can boast about it. Along with the government’s Economic Team, the National Bank plays a key role in this process. Davitashvili stated that he believes this is a good objective indicator.
