Levan Davitashvili, Vice-Prime Ministre, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development said: “I am certain that Concentrix Georgia will be found to be a company that is doing valuable BPO business and that this is not illegal activity.”
According to him it is the responsibility of the law enforcement officers that they find out what’s going on with this company.
“Concentrix Georgia operates in the BPO sector (business process outsourcing). I agree with you. We studied this sector as part of the “Produce Georgia project.” We saw this as a good source for employment and were able to bring reputable international BPO firms to the country. This, of course, contributed to employment. You know, however, that the law enforcement officers are conducting the so-called The battle against criminal call centers to ensure that criminal activities don‘t exist in the country. I am confident that it will be determined that this company is doing valuable BPO work and is not engaging in illegal activities. It is up to the law enforcement agencies to investigate what is happening with this company. I can say that the same thing happens in other organizations. If such inspections are conducted, I don’t have detailed information, and the law enforcement officers would provide you with detailed information,” said Levan Daviashvili.
