**Journalists Attacked by Special Squad**
Two journalists, Guram Rogava and Mariam Gafrindashvili, were attacked by representatives of a special squad. This is not allowed, says public defender Levan Ioseliani.
He spoke about the ongoing events on Rustaveli Avenue in a TV program called “360 degrees”. He said it’s disturbing that journalists are being interfered with while doing their job. It’s not right that their professional activities are at risk.
**Using Force Against Journalists is Not Allowed**
Levan Ioseliani stated that using any type of force against a journalist covering current events is not allowed. This is against the law and a criminal offense. He has referred these cases to the Special Investigation Service for investigation.
**Protecting Freedom of Expression**
The public defender called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to protect the freedom of expression of protest participants as much as possible. However, he also reminded protesters to observe their limits so that they don’t overstep them.
**Representatives in Isolation Cells**
Levan Ioseliani’s representatives have gone to the isolation cells to check on the condition of detainees and provide information to the public. This will be done in the morning.
