Youth Encouraged to Watch Commission‘s Work
Levan Machavariani, a member of the Georgian Parliament, is asking young people to watch the commission’s work live on TV. He wants them to understand what life was like under a regime and compare it to how they live today in a democratic country.
The commission is investigating events from 2003-2012. Yesterday, they heard from Beso Khardzhiani’s son about his family‘s experience. Machavariani says this is not an isolated incident, but rather a widespread problem that affected tens of thousands of families.
He emphasized that the main figures behind these actions are Udesiani and Adeishvili. The commission will continue its work and hand over its findings to the prosecutor’s office within 6 months.
