**Georgian Dream MP Reacts to PACE Resolution**
A Georgian MP, Levan Machavariani, has spoken out against a resolution passed by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The resolution called on Georgia to hold new elections and release political prisoners.
Machavariani said that recognizing the authority of their delegation was not enough. He stated that the reservations attached to this recognition were “unacceptable” and disrespected Georgia’s sovereignty.
**The Resolution Passed by PACE**
Of the 134 deputies who voted, 114 supported the resolution, while 13 opposed it and 7 abstained. The resolution also called on Georgia to continue its path towards European integration.
**Georgian Dream Responds**
In response to the resolution, Georgian Dream announced that they would cease their work in PACE. This decision was made after a number of reservations were deemed “unfair” and “groundless”.
