Abkhazia’s Government Chief Meets Italian Ambassador
The leader of Abkhazia, Levan Mgaloblishvili, met with the top diplomat from Italy, Massimiliano d‘Antuono. This was announced by the Abkhazian government.
Their meeting took place at a local ministry building. They visited an art exhibition and saw a theater auditorium together. The exhibition featured artworks made by people who had to leave Abkhazia.
The official part of their talks focused on the situation in Abkhazia, which is controlled by another country. Mgaloblishvili spoke about the challenges faced by its residents. He also asked for Italy’s help with allowing people to return home safely.
The Italian ambassador confirmed that his country supports Georgia’s independence and all of its territories. They discussed ways they could work together in areas like helping people and education.
