Judge Blocked from Paying Salary in UK
A judge from Georgia, Levan Murusidze, has had his payroll card blocked. He is a judge of the Court of Appeal and a member of the High Council of Justice.
Murusidze does not plan to travel to the UK because of this. “My salary has been blocked,” he said in an interview with TV Pirveli. When asked when it happened, he replied that it didn’t matter. He intends to stay in his village, Sori.
The judge expressed concern if other countries also impose financial sanctions on him. “It would be fatal” if the Baltic countries do the same, he said.
