**Opposition Leader Speaks Out Against “Terrorism” in Georgia**
Levan Tsutskiridze, a leader of the opposition party “Strong Georgia”, spoke out against the government’s use of force against peaceful demonstrators. He made his comments at a joint press conference with other opposition leaders.
Tsutskiridze said that any government that goes against the will of its people will ultimately fail and meet a tragic end. He called for new elections to be held and for those responsible for recent violence against journalists and others to be punished.
**”Terrorism” Against Own People**
The leader accused the government of using “terrorism” against its own citizens, saying that law enforcement structures have become lawbreakers. Tsutskiridze said that such actions are typical of authoritarian regimes, citing examples from Ukraine, Syria, and other countries.
**US Support Unlikely**
Tsutskiridze also expressed doubt that the US would continue to support the Georgian government, given its treatment of citizens. He suggested that President Trump would instead support a more democratic government in Georgia.
