Liberty Bank has become an official partner of the Millennium Innovations Award. Millennium Innovations Award, implemented by Millennium Foundation, is a nationwide competition for students aged 13-18 from Georgian public schools and private schools. The competition will run for eight years with the financial support from the US Embassy in Georgia. It aims to encourage innovation and new technology among Georgian youth.
The winning team will attend the Space Center University Summer Camp at NASA Houston Space Center, USA. The second and third place winners will also be invited to international STEM camps or will receive different prizes.
“The Millennium Innovations Award, founded in 2014, has already become a tradition in Georgia. The competition continues to grow in popularity among young people and new partners. The competition is designed to encourage young people to pursue careers in science, technology and mathematics (STEM) and to develop innovative ideas and projects. The majority of participants continue their education in STEM fields, which is important for the future of our country as there is a high demand for qualified professionals in these fields. Liberty Bank is our new strategic partner for this year. We are confident that with our partners we will be able further develop the competition, and support the future aspirations of our youth”, – stated Magda Magradze.
“It’s a great honor for Liberty to be a partner of Millennium Innovations Award. Our cooperation is based primarily on our shared values, which are important for achieving a common goal: to help young people learn and develop an interest in future careers. Liberty’s new strategic plan places a high priority on education. We believe that this partnership will help to further the education of young, talented people in the region who are searching for innovative ideas.
We are eager to meet and become friends with the team of the Millennium Foundation. The Liberty team is prepared to invest all of its resources into the most important goal, which is to promote education for the next generation.
