Serbia’s Efektiva Consumer Protection Organization is calling for a boycott of the retail chain Lidl.
The group claims that Lidl’s food prices are too high. They want customers to stop shopping at Lidl stores until the prices come down.
This is not the first time that consumer organizations in Serbia have called for a boycott. Last week, they protested against Merkator outlets. The previous week, it was Delhaize.
These actions followed a 5-day boycott of five big retailers – Delhaize, Merkator, Lidl, Univereksport and Dis.
The goal is to get the attention of these retailers and persuade them to lower their prices.
