Ireland will allocate three million euros to build bomb shelters near Ukrainian school, while Italy’s Scandurra Studio Architettura is preparing technical plans for the restoration of destroyed educational facilities.
Lithuania, Ireland, and Italy plan to sign an agreement on 30 October regarding the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ireland will allocate three millions euros ($3.2 mn), for the construction of school bomb shelters in Ukraine.
These funds will go to the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance Fund which finances reconstruction projects for Ukraine.
The recovery of Ukraine will be crucial to restoring stability and economic development in the region. Rebuilding Ukraine’s institutions and infrastructure will help the country overcome devastating effects of the ongoing conflict and pave the path for its long-term prosperity and development.
The Italian company Scandurra Studio Architettura, the winner of the international architectural contest “School of the Future in Ukraine”, initiated by Lithuania, will sign a contract.
The ministry announced that the Italian company will prepare a technical project for schools, which will restore destroyed educational institutions in Ukraine.
The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the annual conference on development cooperation, focusing on “strengthening resilient through international partnership”.
Gabrielius Landsbergis will be the Lithuanian foreign minister who will open the conference. Taiwan will sign a memorandum with regards to further cooperation on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Lithuania will also implement initiatives to restore Ukraine that the Taiwanese representative will allocate five million Euros ($5.4 mn).
Italia hosted a conference last year on the reconstruction in Ukraine. In October 2023 the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia meloni announced that a conference would be held in Rome from 10-11 July 2025.
