**Lithuania Imposes Sanctions on 17 Georgian Politicians**
Lithuania has taken a strong stance against the Georgian government’s violent crackdown on peaceful protesters. The country has imposed sanctions on 17 Georgian politicians, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys, the decision is in response to the brutal treatment of protesters, journalists, and opposition leaders. “We will not tolerate violence and oppression against peaceful protesters,” he said.

The 17 individuals sanctioned by Lithuania include:
* Grigol Liluashvili, Head of the Georgian State Security Service
* Kakha Kaladze, Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of Georgian Dream
* Mikheil Chinchaladze, President of the Court of Appeals
* Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the GD parliamentary majority
* Otar Romanov-Partskhaladze, former Prosecutor General
* Irakli Rukhadze, Owner of propaganda outlets Imedi TV and GDS
* Levan Murusidze, Judge of the High Council of Justice
* Viktor Japaridze, MP and owner of propaganda channel POSTV
* Dito Samkharadze (Dimitri Samkharadze), GD MP
* Goga Khaindrava, Political and public figure
* Irakli Kobakhidze, Member of GD Political Council and elected PM by rump parliament
* Giorgi Kobakhidze, father of Irakli Kobakhidze and former member of the pro-Russian United Democratic Movement party
* Zviad Shalamberidze, Prosecutor
* Shalva Tadumadze, Deputy President of the Supreme Court and Judge
* Thea Tsulukiani, MP
* Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure
* Kakhi Bekauri, Head of the National Communications Commission
**Estonia Also Imposes Sanctions**
Earlier, Estonia also imposed sanctions on 14 Georgian Dream officials, including Kobakhidze. The Baltic states – Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia – have taken decisive international action against GD figures.
The latest sanctions come amid mounting concerns over Georgia’s democratic backsliding and human rights violations.
