Lithuanian Gas Company to Send Vehicles and Generators to Ukraine

Amber Grid, the gas transportation system operator of Lithuania, has approved the transfer of 55 vehicles and four generators to Ukraine as humanitarian aid. The total value of this aid is estimated at nearly 62,000 euros ($70,000).

Since the Russian invasion on 24 February, Ukraine has been facing severe destruction of its energy system. Russian attacks on power plants, electrical substations, and other key infrastructure have left millions of Ukrainians without electricity, heat, and water.

Lithuanian Laurynas Kasčiūnas has announced plans to provide additional aid worth 40-50 million euros ($45-56 million) to Ukraine this year.
