As part of the winter preparation efforts, the Ukrainian defense ministry announced that the military aid package includes mortars and generators.
According to reports from the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, Lithuania has delivered a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. It is expected to arrive in this week.
The package includes ammunitions, mortars and generators for Ukrainian troops.
According to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry this aid package was given to Ukraine as part the Defense Forces preparation for winter.
Lithuania has supported Ukraine since the Russian invasion. Since then, Lithuania has provided assistance worth more than 705 million euro. The total long-term assistance package of the country for Ukraine has exceeded 1 billion euros.
By 2024, Lithuania will have already supplied the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 155mm ammo, M113 armored vehicles, and anti-drone system.
The support included also winter equipment, warm clothing, Carl Gustaf antitank grenadelauncher ammunition, RISE-1 Remote Detonation Systems, generators and loaders, trailers and folding beds.
The ministry also revealed plans for financing the production of Ukraine’s long-range drone rocket “Palianytsia.”
Ukraine will receive much-needed support in its efforts to defend its cities against Russian shelling, with almost half of Denmark’s 18th Aid Package allocated to air defense.
