**Two Russian Airliners Forced to Return Due to Engine Failures**
Two Russian airplanes had to turn back just after taking off due to engine problems. This happened on January 4, according to The Moscow Times.
Russia’s aviation industry has been struggling since Western sanctions were put in place. These sanctions made it hard for Russia to get parts and support from Western companies that make planes.
**Engine Failures**
One plane, an Airbus A321neo operated by Ural Airlines, had a left engine failure at 4,500 meters while flying from Egypt to Yekaterinburg. The pilots reported the problem and went back to the airport where they started.
Another plane, a Boeing 737 belonging to NordStar Airlines, had a left engine failure at 11,300 meters during a flight from Volgograd to Ekaterinburg. This made the pilots return to Volgograd as well.
**Grounded for Inspection**
Both planes have been grounded for inspection and assessment of their condition.
