Luka Kurtanidze was crowned world champion in the Veterans Wrestling World Championship held in Croatia. The freestyle specialist, who competed in D category (130 kg), defeated a Jordanian opponent in the finals.
The Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports announces the achievement. It notes that this is Kurtanidze’s fifth victory in the world champion veterans category, a consistency which highlights his skill and dedication to the sport.
The championship mentioned is not just to crown the best of the best but also to celebrate the sport in a broader arena.
