**Diplomats Must Respect the Country They Represent**
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, made a statement about diplomats who are in the country and represent their own nation. She said that these diplomats should respect Georgia and work to improve relations between countries.
According to Bochorishvili, good relationships between countries should be based on mutual respect and friendly ties. When partners have a strategic partnership, they should work together to make it stronger, not weaker. Diplomats in Georgia are expected to do the same, she said.
Unfortunately, Bochorishvili said that some diplomats are acting against this principle. Instead of helping to improve relations between countries, they are making things worse. This is what happens when diplomats don’t respect the country they are in and work against its interests.
**Recalling the German Ambassador?**
There is a call from an MP, Irakli Zarkua, for the Foreign Minister to look into the work of the German ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer. Some people think that the ambassador’s actions have been unhelpful and might require him to be recalled from the country.
