Georgian Minister Visits Hungary
The Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, visited Hungary recently. She met with her Hungarian counterpart to discuss their countries’ relations.
During the meeting, Mrs. Bochorishvili thanked her colleague for supporting Georgia. She said it was a great honor to be in Hungary and that she appreciated the country‘s support within the European Union and in bilateral relations.
Economic Ties
The two ministers also talked about economic ties between their countries. They plan to meet soon to discuss how to strengthen these ties and create new opportunities. So far, indicators are good, but there is still room for improvement.
Playing a Role in Europe
Mrs. Bochorishvili emphasized the importance of Georgia playing its role in the “middle corridor”. This project aims to connect several countries in the region. She said that cooperation between Georgia, Hungary, Romania, and Azerbaijan is crucial and will continue working on this.
Support for European Projects
The Georgian minister appealed for support from the Hungarian government in implementing significant projects for Europe’s security. These projects are part of Euro-structures, which aim to strengthen security within Europe.
Conflict with Russia
Mrs. Bochorishvili also mentioned that Georgia is still facing problems due to Russian occupation. She emphasized the importance of finding peaceful solutions and thanked Hungary for its expert assistance in this matter.
