Georgian Foreign Minister Speaks on President‘s Legitimacy
The Georgian Parliament has chosen the country’s leader, Mikheil Kavelashvili. According to the government’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, this process followed the rules set out in the constitution.
Bochorishvili said that Kavelashvili had received congratulations from various groups and that his legitimacy comes directly from the Parliament. The minister added that international recognition is also important for Georgia, which it has already gained.
The minister emphasized that all processes happening within the country’s laws are considered legitimate.
