Leaders of the “Strong Georgia” coalition meet with British Ambassador.
Two Georgian leaders, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, met with the British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward. The meeting was a chance for them to talk about how important it is for Britain to support Georgia.
Badri Japaridze said that they couldn’t go into details of their conversation. He did say that Britain’s support is very important for Georgia and its people. They also talked about the elections and shared information with each other.
The leaders want Britain’s partnership with Georgia to continue. They believe that the Georgian people and government need Britain’s help. In fact, they think that Britain has made a big investment in helping Georgia build a democracy. Now, this democracy is under pressure from a group called “Georgian Dream”.
Badri Japaridze said that the main goal of the “Georgian Dream” is to isolate Georgia from the rest of the world. He hopes that Britain will continue to support Georgia and not let it happen.
