Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the “Strong Georgia coalition”, said after the meeting that there was no discussion about candidates.

The power in this country belongs the Georgian people. Therefore, we believe that any or all candidacies should be considered only after the elections. We told [the president] this very clearly.
No one was talking about a candidate. Now, our main focus is to win convincingly in order to put the country on a European course. There was no discussion about the candidates. We believe that the elections in this country and their results belong to the people. As a result, all other issues should fall within the Charter.
We do not believe that politicians should decide whether or not to appoint certain officials before the election, because the power belongs the Georgian people. The Georgian people’s choice is paramount. We must wait until October 26 to win, sign this victory peacefully, and according to the charter, the president as the guarantee of the transfer of power and formation of a newly composed will be the key figure,” Khazaradze stated.
