Business Leader Calls for Warning Strike
Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of Strong Georgia, wants businesses to stop working for two hours. This would be a warning to the government, saying “We are on strike!”
Khazaradze believes that if 2,000 organizations and businesses work together, it will show the government that they demand change. He thinks this could create a new kind of business community: one that is free, determined, and able to speak out when needed.
Khazaradze wants businesses to stop working at the same time and go outside with a clear message: “We are on strike!” This would be a wake-up call for the government. He believes the next strike could take a different form if the government doesn’t listen.
The business community is being asked to take back power from the government. Khazaradze thinks businesses contribute taxes that pay the government, but instead of treating them with respect, they threaten them. He urges businesspeople to join this process and not wait until it’s too late.
Khazaradze wrote on social media: “Let’s not wait until it’s too late, because this is not just about the well-being of your company – it’s about the future of our country!”
