**Opposition Protests in Georgia**
The opposition protests in the Georgian capital were encouraged by foreign politicians, according to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the executive secretary of “Georgian Dream”. He made this statement at a press conference.
Mdinaradze thanked law enforcement officers and the Minister of Internal Affairs for their professional handling of the situation. He said that a dozen people and opposition groups could not bring the city to a standstill. The police made the right decision to enforce the law, he added.
**Foreign Politicians Blamed**
The executive secretary blamed foreign politicians who had visited Georgia in recent days for inciting the protests. They called on protesters to go to “Maidan” and return peacefully to their countries, Mdinaradze said.
**Constitutional Obligations**
Mdinaradze also responded to a statement made by President Salome Zurabishvili yesterday. He noted that if she does not schedule the first session of the Parliament, it must be held within 10 days after the official announcement of the election results, as stated in the Constitution of Georgia.
**Parliamentary Activities**
Mdinaradze emphasized that the opposition will gather in the parliament and start parliamentary activities if the President fails to fulfill her constitutional obligations. This is a clear message from “Georgian Dream” about their plans for the future, he said.
