**Georgian Government Chooses President**
The leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, spoke about the election process for the President of Georgia. According to him, the government elected by the Georgian people is choosing the President.
Since a change was made to the Constitution, this is the first time the President will be elected by a college. The college includes members of parliament, local self-government representatives, and members of regional governments. If a second round is needed, it will also be held today.

Mdinaradze said that the main criterion for choosing Mikheil Kavelashvili as President was his loyalty to the country, not to any particular group or team. He emphasized that this quality should be discussed and considered.
Despite some negative opinions about Kavelashvili today, a large majority still supports him. Mdinaradze pointed out that the government was elected by the Georgian people with appropriate legitimacy.
