Georgia’s Executive Secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze made a statement about the international community. He said that it is hard to make objective statements when there is bullying from other countries and groups.
Mdinaradze was reacting to comments by Pia Kauma, the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. She had praised the OSCE/ODIHR for making objective statements about Georgia’s elections.
Mamuka Mdinaradze appreciated these comments. He said that it is good news when competitive elections are held in a country like Georgia. However, he also criticized the opposition for not being happy with the OSCE/ODIHR’s report on the elections.
According to Mdinaradze, the opposition is upset because the OSCE/ODIHR did not lie about the elections. He said that the OSCE/ODIHR is a respected group in the civilized world, and its reports are widely recognized as accurate.
Mdinaradze also mentioned Beka Liluashvili, who he claims does not recognize the importance of the OSCE/ODIHR’s report. However, he believes that the rest of the world sees it as an important assessment.
