Mamuka Minadaradze, executive secretary of “Georgian Dream“, stated at the briefing that the “Georgian Dream’s” alleged crimes included stealing and neutralizing votes.
According to him, 102 facts have been identified and up to 402 investigations are underway in the ruling party.
“At this stage, we are talking about 102 facts identified. In this regard, I held a briefing in the last week. We have investigated 402 cases in total, some of them involving alleged crimes. A citizen was registered as a member against his will of a radical opposition commission in another electoral district and could not vote. Some of these people, despite attempting to commit a crime similar to that which they attempted, were successful and went to vote in another electoral district. In both cases we are dealing an alleged crime. The only difference is that one part refers a completed crime and the other refers an attempted crime. I can give an example that will be news. In the previous case, I gave specific examples. Zurab Dzebisashvili is an example. He was registered at the 6th voting station of Gldani electoral District, and was appointed by Aleko Elisashvili‘s party “Citizens” as a member on the election commission for the 38th voting station in Dusheti. Zurab Dzebishvili, our supporter, was contacted in the pre-election phase. They offered him membership to the precinct committee and told him where he would be a precinct commissioner, but he refused. Look at the differences: in other cases, they did not contact him and obtained the personal information of a person illegally. Then they registered him as the representative of a party of the “National Movement”, that is. In this case, they contacted Zurab Dzebishvili before the election, despite his refusal to serve on the commission, and appointed another as a Member of the Commission of one of “National Movement” Parties in the district. When he went to the polling station where he had been registered, he found out that he couldn’t vote there because he had been entered elsewhere in a special list. Mdinaradze said that Mr. Zurab, who was contacted by them, has the number of the person who contacted him. He can give this information to the investigation if he is called to the prosecutor’s offices for questioning.
