Man Questioned Over Protest Post
A local man in Nis was questioned by the police about a social media post he made after a protest in Belgrade on March 15.
The police investigation is into spreading panic among the public. The man, Bozidar Pavlovic, shared a video on his Instagram profile that had been posted by Nova S. The video included a statement from a lawyer and a call for people to go on strike.
Two police officers went to Pavlovic’s home and told him they were taking him to Belgrade. But when he said he couldn’t afford the ticket, they decided to question him in Nis instead.
The interrogators knew that Pavlovic didn’t originally post the video. They asked him to delete it and say sorry on social media, but only if he wanted to avoid being taken away by the police. They also told him not to post anything similar again.
Pavlovic is worried about his safety and the safety of his family because of the police’s actions.
