Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Reacts to US Sanctions on Ivanishvili
The Estonian government has already taken action against Bidzina Ivanishvili. In 2020, Estonia sanctioned him and 27 other individuals for their role in human rights abuses. This was due to the way they handled peaceful protests in Georgia.
Ivanishvili is now being targeted by the US for similar reasons. The Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcus Tsahkna, says it’s good to see other countries following Estonia’s lead. He believes Ivanishvili should face consequences for his actions.
