Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, has spoken out about the situation in Georgia. He says the ruling party “Georgian Dream” has lied to the Georgian people.
Tsahkna made his comments on social media platform X. He wrote that the leaders of Georgian Dream had deceived many people, including their own voters. These voters thought that Georgian Dream would help Georgia join the European Union.
There are protests in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. This is because the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, recently said that his government will not ask to start negotiations with the European Union until 2028. He also said that Georgia will not accept any money from the European Union for the same amount of time.
Tsahkna’s comments were critical of Georgian Dream’s decision.
