**Young Ambassador of Georgia**
Marisha Mikiashvili, a student at Leiden University in The Hague, is a great example of what can be achieved with hard work and determination. She wanted to continue her studies at a European university and was offered funding by top universities in Spain, France, and Italy. However, she had her heart set on the Netherlands.
“I didn’t think I’d get through,” Marisha said, “but when I heard I’d got into the international relations program, I was overjoyed.”
**From Student to Ambassador**
Marisha’s success did not stop there. She recently became the Young Ambassador of Georgia to the Netherlands. This role is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and allows young people living abroad to promote their country and protect its interests.
“I took part in the grant project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and won,” Marisha said proudly. “I want to use this opportunity to represent my country and implement projects that will promote European integration.”
**Fighting for Women’s Rights**
Marisha is also passionate about women’s rights and women’s involvement in politics, economics, and society. She works as an academic consultant at the International Law Development Organization in The Hague, where she focuses on online gender–based violence against women.
“The role of women in politics and not only in politics is vital,” Marisha said. “It can lead to the legitimacy and effectiveness of democracy inside and outside the country.”
**A Message for Young People**
Marisha’s story is an inspiration to young people everywhere. She shows that with determination, enthusiasm, and respect for others, anything is possible.
“Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things,” Marisha said. “Listen to each other and involve youth in important issues. We are the future of our country and the world.”
