**Democracy in Georgia is Over, Says Estonian Parliament Member**
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament, Marko Mihkelson, says democracy in Georgia is over. In an interview with the Georgian editorial office of “Voice of America”, he stated that the country is becoming a purely autocratic regime.
**Georgia’s Institutions Are Not Independent**
Mihkelson believes that only one institution in Georgia remains independent: the President’s Institute. However, he thinks this will also be controlled by the ruling party under the new president. He pointed out that there have been cases of mass fraud on election day and attempts to change results.
**International Investigation Needed**
Mihkelson said an international investigation into the election results is necessary to prove that these elections were not fair and free. He stated that this is a requirement for democratic processes and should be conducted in Georgia’s candidate country status for the European Union.
**Georgia’s Road to EU Membership at Risk**
If the Parliament of Georgia meets without listening to the will of the people, Mihkelson believes that Georgia’s road to the European Union will definitely be over. He warned that if “Georgian Dream” announces official results and ignores the people’s voice, this could happen.
