Georgia’s Recent Parliamentary Elections Were Not Fair
A report from the OSCE/ODIHR has found serious problems with Georgia’s recent parliamentary elections. This is according to a tweet by EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
The report, which was released recently, lists several areas where improvements are needed. The commissioner said that Georgian authorities must take action on these issues quickly in order to regain the trust of its people and the international community. She also mentioned that many Georgians want their country to join Europe one day.
Kos emphasized the importance of fair elections for Georgia’s future. Thousands of people have taken to the streets in recent months, demanding change and a European future.
