**Russia Launches Drone Attack on Odesa, Injuring 3 People**
A massive drone attack was launched by Russia against the city of Odesa in southern Ukraine overnight. The attack caused three people to be injured, including a minor.
According to Oleh Kiper, governor of Odesa Oblast, the drone strike damaged civilian infrastructure in the city, including a residential high-rise building and several shops. Powerful fires were also reported, triggering emergency blackouts in three districts.
The attack comes just two days after Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to a partial ceasefire that would halt all attacks on Ukraine’s civilian and energy infrastructure for 30 days.
**Previous Attacks on Odesa**
Odesa has been a frequent target of Russian drone and missile attacks throughout the war. The city, which is home to around 1 million people, has seen significant damage to its infrastructure in recent years.
**Investigations Launched**
The Ukrainian military reported that Russia used a command post in Sumy Oblast to plan and conduct combat operations against Ukrainian soldiers.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also launched an investigation into an attempted terrorist attack after an explosion in downtown Rivne.
**International Reactions**
The US plans to hold indirect talks between Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, while Italy signed an agreement with Ukraine to promote sustainable agricultural development and food security.
The European Commission is considering significant cuts to Ukrainian sugar imports due to complaints from EU producers about plummeting sugar prices.
**Ukrainian Citizens Affected**
A decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin requires Ukrainian citizens residing in Russia or Russian-occupied territories to leave the country by September 10, or “regulate their legal status”.
