**McDonald’s Breakfast Menu Returns to Ukraine**
After a long absence, McDonald’s breakfast menu is back in six Ukrainian cities. The company made the announcement on March 13, saying it would be available until 10:30 AM in restaurants and 10:15 AM for delivery.
The comeback follows months of customer requests, with people using social media to ask for its return. Some Western companies have also started expanding their offerings to Ukrainian customers during the full-scale war.
**Breakfast is Back**
Breakfast is now available in six western Ukrainian cities – Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche, and Kovel. McDonald’s tested its breakfast menu in Vinnytsia since December before making it official.
However, the company says that due to safety reasons, its breakfast menu will not be available in eastern regions close to the front line. This is because air raids make it difficult for employees to get back to work quickly after an alert.
**Challenges Ahead**
Air raid alerts are a big problem for McDonald’s restaurants in Ukraine. When there is an alert, all employees must take shelter and it can take about an hour to restart equipment and prepare for reopening.
The company says that 109 of its restaurants are currently operating in 36 cities across Ukraine, employing around 10,000 people. However, some locations remain closed due to the ongoing conflict.
