Mamuka. Mdinaradze responded to criticism by national TV stations about the transportation of supporters to Tbilisi to attend a rally. She assured that a large number of them will be provided with transportation.
Mdinaradze dismissed in a post on social media the concerns raised by opposition to the government regarding the organization and transport of regional attendees. He stressed that, while not everyone who wishes to attend will be able to, a significant number of them can. He suggested that opposition might need to be “reassured”, once Tbilisi voiced its support.
Mdinaradze wrote: “Yes, some of those who want go will not be able to. But we will provide transportation to a significant portion of them. So don’t worry.”
He mocked further the opposition by claiming that their primary party – referring to the “five numbered” party – would not receive as many voters as the number of people at the rally.
“Even the main party of their five-number system will not receive as many votes at today’s rally as there are at the rally itself!” Mdinaradze also added.
His comments were in response to the “hysteria”, as he called it, of national television channels about the mobilization people from rural areas in order to attend the Tbilisi event.
