EU Member States Take Action Against Georgian Diplomats
The European Union‘s member states have taken a step to punish those involved in the crackdown on protesters in Georgia. They have blacklisted several people with diplomatic passports.
This decision was made after 60 days of protests, where people took to the streets to demand their right to a Euro-Atlantic future. MEP Thijs Reuten from the Netherlands said this move is not enough.
He expressed his disappointment and shame at the EU‘s actions on social media platform X. He believes that blacklisting only a few individuals does not go far enough in addressing the situation.
