**German MEP Demands Action from Europe on Georgia**
Tobias Kremer, a German member of the European Parliament, called for action from Europe to support the people of Georgia. He made his statement during a debate in the European Parliament.
Kremer recently visited Tbilisi and was shocked by what he saw. He said that the government of Georgia had taken harsh measures against its own people after rigged elections. This, he claimed, was an attempt to turn democratic Europe into an authoritarian regime, similar to Belarus.
**Hope for Freedom in Georgia**
Despite the difficulties faced by Georgians, Kremer expressed hope for their future. Tens of thousands of people are protesting every day, demanding freedom and democracy. They are waving European Union flags, which is a symbol of freedom for them.
**Time for Europe to Act**
Kremer urged his colleagues to take action in support of the Georgian people. He noted that Georgians are watching Europe’s response to their situation, as well as those of Ukrainians and Moldovans who are also fighting for freedom. He called on Europe to impose sanctions on leaders who take harsh measures against their own people.
**Supporting Georgia**
Kremer concluded by calling for the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, to be welcomed in the European Parliament. He also urged support for the Georgian people’s demand for new elections and their fight for freedom and European values.
