The Georgian police arrested 107 people during a protest in the capital city of Tbilisi. The arrests happened on Saturday, November 30.
The protesters were demonstrating against the government’s decision to delay joining the European Union. Many thousands of people took part in the protests.
**Police Say Protest Was Violent**
The police said that the protesters broke the rules by throwing objects and stones at them. They also claimed that some protesters damaged private property, set up barricades, and hurt video cameras. The police said that 10 officers were injured during the protest, with one still in hospital.
**Eyewitnesses Describe Violence**
Some eyewitnesses reported seeing extreme violence used by the police against citizens. Journalists were also targeted by the police, according to reports.
