**German MP Changes Mind on Visa–Free Travel Suspension**
Michael Roth, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the German Parliament, has changed his opinion on suspending visa-free travel to Georgia. He now thinks it’s a good idea to send a message to the Georgian government.
In an interview with “PalitraNews“, Roth said that the Georgian government should pay for its actions. He believes that Georgia can’t live in two different worlds, like some other countries are trying to do. Roth is talking about being friends with Russia and also getting money from Europe at the same time.
**A Message to Tbilisi**
Roth used to be against suspending visa-free travel, but now he thinks it’s the best way to tell the Georgian government to stop its anti-democratic policies. He hopes that other European governments will join Germany in this decision.
The German MP also mentioned a famous quote from the Serbian leader, who said that Serbia can have it both ways – being friends with Russia and getting money from Europe at the same time. Roth disagrees with this idea, saying that it’s not a good model to follow.
