Michal Kobosko, a European Parliament member, expressed his stance on the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. He emphasized that until the aggression is stopped, they must continue to help and aid Ukraine as much as possible.
Kobosko also highlighted the importance of peace negotiations but stressed that Ukraine should be an integral part of these talks, not forced to accept terms against its will. He mentioned that Europe cannot accept any terms demanded by Russia, such as recognizing occupied territories as Russian forever, as this would set a dangerous precedent for other European countries.
Kobosko reiterated the European Union’s commitment to peace and democracy in Europe, citing the continent’s absence of full-scale wars since World War II as a testament to their success. He emphasized that they cannot go back to the days of force and aggression resolving regional problems.
Furthermore, Kobosko expressed support for Georgia, including its democratic aspirations and the release of Mikheil Saakashvili from prison.
