New US Administration May Improve Relations with Georgia
Mikheil Kavlashvili, the president-elect of Georgia, believes that the values and worldview of the new US administration will help to improve relations between the two countries.
Kavlashvili said that the change in the US after Donald Trump‘s victory is a positive development. He called it the “Donald Trump effect” and thinks that it has shown Georgian people which direction to take.
The president-elect stated his support for peaceful policies, prioritizing national interests, and traditional values such as family strength and Christianity’s role. He believes that these are the same values on which US policies will be based in the next four years.
Kavlashvili made his comments during a report to Parliament about the country’s most important issues.
