Mikheil Saakashvili says that only new elections can relieve a very serious crisis. The oligarchs are using hostages for trade. I am confident that all the detainees will soon be released. But we shouldn’t be fooled.  

**Georgia‘s President Says New Elections Are Needed**

The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, says that the country is in a very deep crisis. He made this statement on his official Facebook page.

Saakashvili believes that only new elections can solve this crisis. He thinks that people are being held hostage by those who want to use them for their own gain. These “hostages” will be released soon, but Saakashvili warns against celebrating too early.
