**Former Georgian President Speaks Out Against Hybrid Warfare**
Mikheil Saakashvili, the former President of Georgia, has spoken out against hybrid warfare in a video address during a court session. He stated that this type of warfare aims to make everything seem dirty and drag everything through the mud.
According to Saakashvili, hybrid warfare involves telling people they are worthless, incapable, and should have a slave mentality. He pointed out that Georgia’s affairs have been going backwards since 2012, when a patriotic government was removed from power by Russian agents. Since then, the country has struggled with various issues.
Saakashvili also talked about the case of embezzling large amounts of budget funds. He said that his presidential salary at the time was between 3000 and 4000 lari, which is a relatively modest amount compared to modern-day deputy salaries. He claimed that with this money, he couldn’t have hosted international leaders like Trump or Clinton.
The former president accused those in power of trying to scare and intimidate people, taking away their hope for the future. He emphasized that the case against him was part of Russia’s hybrid war strategy.
Saakashvili also mentioned a previous case involving President Zviad Gamsakhurdia, who was accused of buying luxury cars and keeping exotic animals in his office. He stated that this was another example of Russian propaganda, which has escalated over time.
The current case against Saakashvili concerns the expenses of the presidential office during his term. He claims that these expenses were legitimate and classified as “Top Secret” to protect national security. However, the classification was later removed, allowing others to scrutinize the expenses.
